  • Hi Teeli I have just recently joined and am also on a small section (in Napier) and cram in as much edibles as I can.  I also grow elderberrys and have been making a fantastic tonic with it for about 10 years. Do you have the shrub type or the very tall type?  I got my first crop of blackcurrants this season so have  been making them into a tonic for winter.  I enjoy making herbals and other tonics especially for winter, and also anything else the family needs.  I make jams and preserves and am always keen to hear about any plants recommended either to preserve or make medicinals from.  Happy gardening!

  • That's brilliant Teeli, I'll definitely wait. Send me your bank details nearer the time and I'll sort the post and packaging cost! How do you prefer to use the berries, eat fresh or put to another use?
