Tell us about your garden and what you're growing

Beetroooooooooot, what can I say, they always come up so they always go down. Chillies still hanging tough as is the last harvest of basil. Hedge of silverbeet and the best toms we have had all year from our kitchen window garden. Salad and all the usual stuff. The garden itself is 6 raised bed/terraces on our rented ridiculously steep section hanging off a Coromandel hillside in Thames. The raised beds are of untreated pine sourced from our local mill which kindly gives away free timber all the time, sure they will rot, that 's ok, they got us gardening when we needed to be gardening. I am studying organic horticulture at the moment and we are hoping to buy our own property very soon. We are inolved with the local community gardens, a joint venture of the local organic strategy group and The Thames Hauraki Supported Lifestyle Trust.
