  • Hi. I am planting Mulberry cuttings at the moment. I've been told I can plant these cuttings now and use last years sapwood up to 6ft long. What I also need to know is, should I remove the buds and if so, just the buds that will be under the ground or all the buds except the top say 1ft? Does anyone know. Also if you would like some sapwood, let me know. They are the red/black mulberry. Regards Katherine
