  • Hi Fionna, Thanks for responding.  I'd love some yacon, but if you think it's not the right time you are the boss!  I am very interested in the Jerusalem artichokes too, anything I can feed Oscar and pass onto the group would be brilliant.

Do you mind giving me your number so I can call you for a chat or if you don't mind you could call me. 09 2783736.

Looking forward to chatting to you.

    Lisa

  • Hi Fiona,  I was wondering if you would know where I can get hold of some yacon tubers.  My son has several severe food allergies and I have recently tried him on yacon, which was a success.  I'm now trying to get hold of some more so I can grow and dehydrate them before the winter.  Thanks!

  • I've got 2 yacon plants with great masses of roots, last time I looked. As yet I've only had a little taste. Robyn kindly gave me the original pieces of root.
  • Hi Fionna

I really enjoyed your article on yakon-very informative. Now I just need to use some : )

  • Hey don't forget to accept me as a friend
  • Hello Fiona, Treated myself to your "Microgreens Book" great info for a beginner like me! Having great success and really enjoying the flavours and various uses for them. Cheers Annette
  • Hi Stephen, I wrote a long-winded reply to this last week but it doesnt seem to be here. In short, yes, I would be interested. Cheers

  • Fiona what we're looking to do is follow someone from home.. heading down to the stall to do a trade - i.e trading a couple of pumpkins for a bag of carrots and a turnip. That's the aspect we're mostly interested in.
We're just planning at the mo but would be interested in being a part of it? You'd be great seeing as you've been selling things from day one.
  • Hi Fionna...I'm glad you like it. I borrowed it from a website and adapted it a little. I too am writing a book and will include this recipe (and variations) in it. Perhaps if you mention it is a borrowed recipe, it would be fine, hon. After all, I posted it on Ooooby, so there's no particular copyrights, I suppose. Just as long as you are also aware about me going to use it in my book too! hehe

I LOVE your photos. What a beautiful garden. I am in a small rented property, and have very limited space. But I am gradually converting what is available into very productive, food producing space. I have only been here a short while, and it's a challenge and an expense...but getting there. I can't wait for the day I can afford a property with a bit of land.
  • Hi Fiona, fantastic work last week at the GLFM, I am keen to hear how it goes this week. Spending time with my little one today.
