  • Hi Michael : )

Just to let you know- I no longer need to use your place to age my cheese! I went to another cheese course the other week, and the teacher informed me that yes, aging your cheese in a cool place will give the best results, but you can actually still age your cheese at room temperature. The process just happens much faster, and you need to continually wipe off the mold. I'm very excited! Now all I need is a cheese press and a storage box .... ; )
Thanks so much though for offering your place to store my cheeses! And if you'd still like me to show you how to make yogurt, I'd be more than happy to!
  • Sweet! I'll give you mine- 027 465 2810. Ohh I should prob say that I'm recovering from CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) and am in a wheelchair! Hope this isn't a problem? Kylie : )
  • Oh yeah, that'd prob work. All I have here is under the house, which wouldn't work because its dusty and stuff, but a covered wash house would likely be sufficient! Yeah Maybe I could come by, I wouldn't be ready to have my cheese there for a while though, maybe a month, as I need to have my dad build me a cheese press first! Which I haven't had him done as I don't yet have a place to age it! But for sure, I could teach you how to make yogurt any time! : )
  • Hi Michael : )

Thanks for your message : ) So would you have a cool space some where in your house possibly? That is awesome about your clay fire oven your building! I have a tasty recipe for sourdough ciabatta I've been wanting to try for a while. Oh yes, do you think you would like to give yoghurt making/kefir a go? Its really very easy : )

    Kylie
  • Hey Mike... I'm sorry I didn't get back to you last time you left me a message, but somehow I missed it. So it sat at the bottom of my page until someone else left me a private comment, at which time I tried to answer you but the site wasn't working... Ah well. Do you still need comfrey ?
  • Hi there,

we are in Sandringham. We currently have guavas and feijoas as well as feijoa jam, fig jam with cinnamon, guava jelly and lemon marshmallow with white chocolate coating. Let us know if you would like to swap for some fresh produce.

    Thanks,

    Laura.

  • Hi New Friends, Whats your favourite childhood memorie in the garden? or your favourite plant? What grow best for you this year?
  • Wow thank you. I am needing someone who is good with a hammer. I would love to catch up with you sometime. Building things is new for me but I know I will pick it up quickly if someone just shows me some basic concepts. I went to the tip but the wood scraps were not great. I have collected stuff from construction sights before and that's pretty good. Thanks for the good advice!
  • Ok dude :)
Sounds like your onto a good thing there, my phone num is 8176667. I think I will probably be busy until Thursday at present, although I have free times like Mon, Tue between 2 - 5 PM. Otherwise maybe give me a call when you want to hook up and we can arrange it like that.
