Event Description

Community Fruit Harvesting has been offered the chance to pick the last of an apple crop at a commercial orchard. The fruit will be shared with foodbanks, charities and schools (although pickers will be able to reward themselves with some of the spoils too).

We need pickers, boxes (preferably banana or apple) and transport for fruit (trailers, utes, vans or a spare truck). Bring your gumboots along!

We’re looking to give a lot of the fruit to schools so if you know of a school (or any other charity organisation) that can take and use a couple of hundred kilos of fruit, please let us know.

Please email pickfruithamilton@gmail to RSVP and for address details.
