Ooooby (Out of our own back yards) has come a long way since it’s inception here on Waiheke almost 3 years ago.
Today we are 4,000+ members strong and are delivering local food to over 150 Auckland doorsteps every week.
This Spring we start making local food easy for Waiheke with the ‘Ooooby Box’.
Come and learn about the Local Food Box service and how you can buy or supply food from the island.
We’ll also be sharing some of the background of Ooooby as a social business and answering a bunch of questions like... How did it start? What does it do? Who is behind it? Who benefits from its success? How are people remunerated for their involvement? Plus whatever other questions you might have.
So come along and find out more!!
We will be limiting customer numbers to begin with while we get on our feet, so come along if you’re interested in being a foundational Waiheke customer.
If you grow food on the island then you are extra welcome. We will explain how we buy local food, how the logistics work and how you are paid.
