Anyone know who to get in touch with at WCC about community orchards? We have perfect spots for fruit trees along the pedestrian walkways on our street. I know Brooklyn has done something similar...

Hey George, thanks for the link. That's very very welcome.

I'm updating and refreshing the web presence of Free Food New Zealand over the next week or two to synchronise all of its different bits, facebook, twitter, with the website itself, because it has suffered from a bit of neglect.

I mulched my kerb and planted potatoes Riwai heritage ones I had three grumpy aggressive council guys with "order" to remove the hazzard hence the appealing to CCC city plan ludicious really neighbour has native grasses on her kerb???? Got to love the challenge though

I saw a piece on a british town where the locals are planting vegetables and fruit all over the city even in council flower beds, beside parks and on abandoned land, their council is now on board, would love to see something like that here in New Zealand
