  • Hi Christy, you are right, growing food is the most important task. I am currently involved in starting a garden in Meadowbank/Remuera. We could do with more people working in this garden. We are open to people's ideas of what/how we plant.
  • Ooooby enables us a platform to provide our basic food need's. To get the system off the ground locally sometimes requires a few proactive steps, but in doing we enjoy a higher standard of living. If you need local support for food share etc, Destination Ooooby will help with ideas, information, artworks and easy way's of creating community participation. • Hi Sigrid. First off, thanks for your homegrown goods at the stall the last weekend. They were great! As far as things to be done mostly we need to find more people growing/producing vegetables, fruits, and eggs in their backyards to be involved and contribute to the Ooooby stall. Maybe you have some contacts?
  • The OOOOBY Food Stall sounds like an excellent project. I would be happy to be involved in some practical way, mainly during the week and occasionally on Sunday mornings. Perhaps the role of contact/relationship builder for the Eastern Bays area would be suitable. What other jobs are waiting to be done?
  • It will be great to finally meet you Denise. Welcome to the crew.
  • I can put some time into this too, but can not always come to the market every weekend. I can more reliably do a flyer run around the Kingsland/Sandringham/Eden Tce areas though... and I am happy to be a contact/relationship builder for this area. I'll drop by the stall this Sunday, all going well, and say Hi.
  • Sweet. Sounds great. We will see you on Sunday.
  • That is great Christy. I look forward to seeing you and Giulio this Sunday. When you get here I'll show you the ropes and we can have a general chat. Thanks for stepping up guys.
  • Hi Pete,
Giulio and I (Christy) would love to be a part of the Grey Lynn Ooooby crew for the Captain and crew role. We are available on Sundays. We also have little plants and seedlings that we grow at our home that we could maybe add to the stall. We would both love to chat with you in further detail. Sounds like the best time would be at the market this Sunday?
  • Hi Pete. 22nd should be fine. I'll try pop down the markets on sunday if im in town. I'll be in touch during the week.

The Ooooby Box

6.30pm - Friday the 6th August - Grey Lynn Community Centre We will be revealing the contents of the box to a crew of people who are interested in participating in it's creation. If you can see yourself volunteering a handful of hours toward getting the 'Box' live by 23rd September, come along and we can discuss what needs to be done and who can do what. Warning:  You might end up having fun.
