Good idea to post on here. I'm looking for a new place but we don't need a four bedroom house, and probably need to stay in the Pahoia area. I would love to look after an organic fruit filled property though. I hope you find the right people!

Ydriss and Lora, sorry, don't know of anyone selling pea straw in area.

Rhonnie, there will be many gardening renters keen to stay at your place.  I assume you have already put it to Eve's?  Good luck!  Will keep my ears open....

Long shot that this is the right place to  ask this.  Our tenants are leaving at the beginning of October.  This has been a new experience for us but I have decided that I would like tenants who want to garden and take advantage of the grounds.  Does anyone know of people looking for a rental? Moderate 4 bedroom + garage house on 828 m2  in Katikati township. No chemicals has been used in the last four years on property. Variety of fruit trees. Anyway if anyone knows of some one who would like to rent this property please let me know.  Thanks Rhonnie

Time to plant out your garlic crop. I grow all the garlic we use for a year ahead. Ideally garlic is planted on the shortest day in winter, and harvested on the longest day in summer. Happy planting.

yes please to the scoby. I've just bought a jar with a tap to make it easier to refresh. My last one got a bit neglected.
