Hi
For various reasons I left picking my crop of broad beans until almost too late, and after picking the smaller pods am left with the lower half of the plants covered in huge pods. I figure now might be the time to experiment with using dried broad beans. Anyone out there ever done it? I would be grateful for any recipes you can recommend.

Soak beans overnight, cook until tender and let cool, then put through blender with a little lemon juice, garlic and pinch of salt (and any herbs you wish) - a lovely dip, or side dish.
HI Margaret, I have the same thing happening, not sure whether to eat or just save the seeds, I know jamie oliver has a broadbean felafel recipe
Yes you can, in any falafel recipe, just replace the dried chickpeas with dried broadbeans.... you can also use a mix of broadbeans and chickpeas....
I made this last year and it was a winner... you can also make broadbeans humus, just replace the chickpeas with broadbeans... similar to Lynn's recipe... or use the dried broadbeans in a soup... and of course you can keep some for next years crop :)
