Kefir 3 Replies

Is there anyone in the Mount/Tauranga area using Kefir that may be able to share some culture and help me through its use. I have an Aunt who raves about how it has helped her but she is unable to share the culture with me. Continue

Really enjoyed going to Christine's on Saturday and looking at her food forest - a really innovative permaculture design with so many herbs, fruit trees and interesting plants! Also great to meet the 20 other people who attended on the day. Thanks you so much Christine

Hi Kathy would be most interested in the Tubars if not already snapped up. What is the best way to get in contact and where are you located. I am in Katikati:) Cheers Andrew

HI Kathy, I would love some lemons - what's you address and a convenient time Sat or Sun.

I have black boy seeds or saplings if you're interested.

I have a bucket of dahlia tubars, water lily type, pink.  Free if you pick them up.  Going to the dump next week, if no use to anyone. Also abundance of lemons, silverbeet and rhubarb going free you can pick at the same time.

Calling BOP residents interested in learning natural building skills

Kiwi Rosa Hendersen has an impressive CV when it comes to eco buildings and natural structures (  We are stoked that she and her teaching team are able to come to Tauranga and lead a cob cottage building workshop at Marco and Tess Partridge's place in Papamoa.

Small natural buildings take hundreds of hours to complete. So with an eye to increasing our community resiliency in the BOP, it just makes sense to me to develop a team of local people, experienced in all aspects of natural building, and keen to cooperate in local future builds at your place, my place......

We're offering an incentive for BOP locals - $60 dollars off and first dibs registration until 13 October (fee covers instruction and food for the nine days.)  The workshop is comparatively inexpensive and is going to fill up fast. We'd like as many BOP based people in it as possible.

Could this be for you?  If you can get the time off, if you are physically fit, and if you want to have a great time learning about natural construction while building some great community relationships, please get in touch with Rosa at

For anyone interested in creating sustainable, collaborative communities through cohousing, there is a lecture and workshop coming up at the end of this month by Robin Allison from the Earthsong Eco-Neighbourhood in Auckland.

Flyer below, more details here:
