I have a number of raised garden beds that have a random rotation system of plants. No sprays used, with the only additions of worm castings, manure, plant litter, comfrey brew, wood ash, and compost. The area has high wind throughout the year, so wind tolerant species are best grown here. Pests are only controlled (manually by hand) if they exceed carrying capacity of the plants, but most of the time they are left to support the predator population which keeps them in check.
