We have a new home we designed on a low budget with an aim to being semi-selfsufficient by being energy efficient and producing our own solar electricity, recycling food waste through chickens, growing fruit, veges and herbs. We have 20+ fruit trees and vines, plus numerous perennial fruit and vegetables (ie. asparagus, rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries). All fairly new so we are just beginning to reap the rewards of our work.
