We recently befriended an elderly couple that we met at church, they are moving house and need a hand to move some things and were gifted about 18 cans of old wheat that have been packed with dry ice since 1982, i wasnt exactly sure what i was going to do with it all but it has worked out great as they gave us a big hutch as well. Hammer accident

I finally pulled my finger out and started digging out to put in another bed to grow some more vegetables and had a rather unfortunate accident and wacked my middle finger with the hammer, and before you ask it bloody hurt! my finger has swelled up and has gone a funny colour under my nail has gone black and for the first two days was really painfull i hope the pleasure was worth the pain. East coast beaches awesome for sea weed!

We drove over to the east coast on the north shore, as its just as easy to get there as it is to the west coast beaches, we stopped off at murrays bay and the whole beach was covered in sea weed, next time i will take my trailer and load it high, while we were there an elderly couple were there getting a trailer load for there garden, we had bought a roll of bin bags with us in case we saw some, but we ended up taking four bags home with us, i pilled it up on top of the compost heap, and within… Continue

storm damaged Squashed broccoli

I had a panel of plaster board come off the garage, we had stuck it over a hole and we had it stuck down with no nails, the wind must have got in underneath and popped it off and now my broccoli plants are a bit flat looking, i have firmed them around the base of the plants, but have resorted to sticking five canes in to keep them upright, anyone who is contemplating doing a similar job should know that nails are an easier option, and are stronger than glue we did have to seal the top with… Continue
