In September I shall leave the oh so comfortable, unchallenging, stressful office job I have had for the last four years, and throw myself into the glorious, terrifying deep end of self employment.

I am starting a garden consultancy, design and maintenance business. Oh yep, another one of those.

BUT, I am going to attempt to do it all using a cargo bike instead of a ute!

My name is Serra, and at this very moment I am sitting in an office in Christchurch, dreaming of what I could (Should!) be doing. Although currently office-bound workwise, my background is conservation science, ecological monitoring, and ecological restoration. My inaugrual post!!

I have just moved to a new house in a new town, on a new island! We have a front yard which faces north (good- this is the Southern Hemisphere) and which is almost completely bare apart from a small rosemary shrublet and some just emerging bulbs (Sparaxis, maybe? I'll keep you posted on that one). I am already planning what I am going to plant and where, and have been eying up the Zoodoo website (awesome people!!)
