Finally the sun went down and off the garden last night so I could get out and plant the rest of the seedlings. I got stakes put in before I planted the tomatoes and whoops I miscounted and had 13 tomato plants instead of 10 so had to find somewhere for the extra 3 to go. Ah but I managed. Another 3 peppers were planted along with 1 extra chilli plant and 4 cabbages. I have two peppers and another chilli to plant into a container which I will do tomorrow.

We went to a garden centre Christmas party and was curious as to what is causing the damage to the leaves, so showed them to one for the guys there, they were fairly sure that its that nasty bug, so when we came home last night I sprayed the tomatoes, potatoes, gerkhins, courgettes, so we will see what happens now. We also brought a bag of Bokashi zing, now just need to get another bucket and get the holes drilled.

We have extended the shade area for the Tamarillo tree and plants in that area, the sun was just too hot for the lettuce and peas and they were stressing. That looks to be doing well.

I noticed as I was spraying last night that all the vegetabe flowers are yellow, probably a sill thing to notice but I found it rather interesting. The borage stands out as it is now flowering and of course it isn't yellow.

I was pleased to see this morning that the seedlings were looking fairly happy in the garden. I have gone around all my tomatoes and put the tin foil down. It will be interesting to see how well it works. I need to set up drip watering for some of the tomatoes, most have been planted close to a drip line which is good. I still wonder when is the best time for watering, in the evening or in the morning.

it is good reading through these old blog posts.
If you want growth without risking disease ive been told you cant got better than morning watering as it allows the plants to dry during the day.
Ive actually tried this myself and found morning produced the best plant growth.
