The tagasaste surprised me with an early display of white flowers which made them look like they were covered in snow. The honey bees and bumbles are enjoying them along with borage and some pak choy and rocket that went to seed. The plum has its first white blossom and the peach its pink. Ive sown the first batch of mustard, lupins and bird seed mix. One of the local lorikeets sat on the balcony handrail for the first time in 15 years last week. A greenfinch perched in the plum tree and just sat looking around for ten minutes. The drab sparrow reveals superb camoufalge feeding on the forest mulch. Is that an oxymoron - to reveal camouflage?
