I paid $5.59 for 6 free range organic eggs from PNS and they werent fresh! (yolk skins weak and whites not firm) Its time egg producers stamped the date laid on each egg so we know just how ancient they are. Its also time supermarkets stopped gouging us for organic produce. The farmer may get a 20% premium but packing, transport and merchandising cost the same. A fairer price would speed up turnover so that argument doesnt wash.
