I am out of date about this. Saw it a few months ago and it was dire, about 3 stalls and no people. Checked it again yesterday and there are maybe 30 stalls and no room for parking.

Its humming. Maybe time to consider a second Ooooby Market stall. Any Eastern Suburbs producers and Oooobyists apart from Angie and me?

hi All
was spose to be away today but ended up in auckland so popped down the market.

A very different type of cliental from Grey Lynn, but it could work with some tinkering.

Recomend a visit its a bit like the takapuna market, with craft, clothing, cooked food stalls, fruit and veg, plants , brick a brack etc.

Angie, the organisers are the same people who run the Otahuhu market. They started a branch here because so many people go there that there is no longer any room and getting on and off Gt Sth Rd is a hazard at the best of times.

basil has been good here too. But I'm still stocking up the pesto for winter. freeze it in ice cubes and add it to soups, casseroles and pasta any time.

Anyway, I think we need to get a conversation going locally. Those GL, Waitakere and Waiheke types are so well organised in makes me green, with envy.

My place is a bit of a bomb site at the moment but if others can hack it, I would be happy to be part of a garden visit exchange here. Maybe then we could start some serious discussion about whether a stall is on.

Angie, its held at the netball courts on Morrin Rd, Sunday morning, not sure of start and finish times. Perhaps we should plan to meet up there next Sunday and see what you think.
