Summer is finally here, so it’s time to celebrate! And here at the Grey Lynn Farmers’ Market we have plenty to celebrate about.
Many of you will have seen the recent Metro magazine Best of Auckland Awards in which the Grey Lynn Farmers’ Market was awarded an honourable mention, coming second only to La Cigale in Parnell. This is a real badge of honour and shows that, in just three months, everyone involved has created something really special for the Western Bays community.
New year plans
Like you, the Grey Lynn Farmers’ Market will be taking a holiday, but we’ll back in the new year, bigger and better than ever – quite literally. We are taking over the Oval Room and Foyer at the Grey Lynn Community Centre. We’re also changing the opening times to give you all a better chance of getting your fresh produce, and will run from 9am-1pm from January 2010.
Midsummer Market – January 17th 9am-1pm
Come and join us to kick off the new year Sunday 17th January from 9am-1pm. We’ll have a picnic theme, so be sure to bring your blanket and hamper and purchase your lunch at the market.
We are truly excited about the ongoing improvements and expansion of the market and would like to thank you all for making the market such a success this year. We have very much enjoyed the Twilight Market on 19. December, and wish you all a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.
