After much consideration, we have decided to go as supermarketless as we possibly can.
Living off the garden and preserves, only raw milk and our egg money pays for the butcher - other that what can be hunted.

So,,, with this in mind, I am going to give some courses (one each month) with a limit of 5 people - as this is all my kitchen can take. Each month would concentrate on what's in the garden and how to make it and sampling of course (this is vital - cause how will you know if you like it) and what to brew. The class would run for approx 2 hours on a Saturday morning in exchange for a nominated amount of food products that we cannot grow.

What do you think??

We're planning this for a full year starting the 1st of January. It'll be really interesting to see how we go.

Wish us luck!

I think it is a really great idea. I now do not buy any cleaning products apart from baking soda and I also can walk right past the ladies personal items. A mooncup in the way to go and much better for you.

What a great idea. How big is your garden? I have a friend who regularly goes hunting and I barter preserves and homemade baking for rabbits, venison, goat and hares. Look forward to following your progress reports.
