Hi James, Very pleased to have been transported to 'The Rock' so lightly and gently. Really good to know you, Kim and Zuva. Eager to start getting some herb pots and salad greens going. Impressed by your garden and may be asking you re seedlings next month. See you at the Ooooby Store meeting this afternoon.

Thanks for the recipe link James. I would like to grow more cabbages and such like cause they are so good for you, but sometimes struggle to get past memories of my mum's boiled (for a long time) cabbage :)

Yes you got it!
The backyard thing is growing here bit by bit. We are looking at funding a green gardener scheme to get individuals and neighbours getting together for a consultation and practical session. They have a scheme like this in Kapiti Coast

I think it is a marvellous idea, in Kapiti it is about saving water primarily but the concept creeps into all aspects of sustainability. Thanks for your comments
Cheers

Hi,

Yes its me in the photo - I didn't actually look at which one I posted!!

And yes, am involved with Transition Town Totnes and this site is really, really cool and I know a bloke who has a farm and grows loads of organic vegetables and wants to distribute them without using the 'big' supermarkets and I hope to do vegetables next year after a year off from gardening and stuff...

:)

Thanks James, I'll definitely take you up on that offer. I feel the same about my garden this year, my list of 'to do' is so long! We've taken on much more (well all!) of the vineyard work this year, so certain times (like now) it takes up all spare time, and the rest of the garden does suffer. i do dream of one day having all those good systems set up so it's better at taking care of itself... must go and pluck some more leaves. (the wine is good though!).

Hey James. At the top right corner of this page, under your name, click the settings link and update your profile info. I am using the title bar just to show what is ready for harvest.
