Currently living in a community so I've only a small plot. Growing kale, aubergines, beans, kumara, lambs quarters, broccolli, a ton of silverbeet...marigolds

    Hi Ursula

    I moved to Wairarapa in 2010 and have found this community to be very proactive. I have an enormous garden which keeps us in vege all year round. A fairly new orchard that is starting to provide us with fruit. Chooks that are starting to provide eggs. I bottle and preserve. Tried bees but failed, will try again this summer.

    I was one of the people who established the Wairarapa Resource Centre in King St Masterton. Masterton Council pays the levy for us to utilise the Sustainable Living Trust online self directed courses. Supergrans are also looking at running some courses. The Womans Centre run up cycling courses at a very low fee.
