Mmm bok choy. Figs! From a big old tree in the backyard. My workmate gave me a Yacon plant, and so far so good though I have no idea what to do when it's ready to eat!

    Hi Liz

    Have finally organised guided tour at Unitec Food Forest. Will be on Sunday November 1st at 11.15am, followed by BYO picnic lunch. Looks like is going to be popular with Auckland Oooobies, so I'm just letting Waiheke people know first before opened up. Will cost $10 per adult, maximum 20 people, will do on a first paid, first served basis. Children welcome. Email me on islandgardening@gmail.com if you're keen.

    Hello. We picked up the pots and tree this morning and they're at our place. We had to bend the tree a bit but I apolgised to it and it seems fine :) I'll drop them for you hopefully tomorrow or if not thursday. Mmm tomato sauce - sounds yummy!

    Hi Liz, couldn't fit your pots in the car yesterday (I had to leave one of mine behind too!). Apparently we have until Saturday to collect them. I'm going to send Pete down to collect mine (its too heavy for me to lift) - do you want me to ask if he can grab yours too? And if so where should he drop them to? Just a bit unsure if the tree will fit in.... Otherwise you can grab them on or before Saturday. By the way I love the quotes you put up!!!

    Hi Liz, thank you. We don't have many things (we're moving out soon too!) but I do have some beetroot, a few tomatoes and i think there are a few carrots too. Will raid the garden tomorrow and bring things to the store for you - anything you don't want I'll just leave for the Ooooby Fun Fair. Thanks again, maybe see you tomorrow.
