  Tony, the twin streams guy has started an ooooby page for the community orchard I was telling you about, Lucinda Street Orchard in Glen Eden. Not sure how to send you a link to it, maybe you can search it? Only been going for a week. Check it out. I really like the idea of initiatives like this, local local food...

  Hope you are all good. i am thinking a lot about your deeply attractive chickens. Where did you get them? Still waiting for my coop builder to turn up but he will, a few prior commitments...ka kite Kirsty

  Hi Diane, I sorted one of my piles of rubbish that i accidently bought with my house over the holidays. Feeling pretty good about that. Hoping that getting chickens later in the year will deal to the other  big weed collection. Am back at work too, for a rest! Will catch up soon eh? kirsty

  So I did that! The jar even has a lid 3 inches above to stop the rain. Now what do I look for? I've rescued a bee and there are little flies in there with striped bodies. Is that what I'm after?

  Hi! I'm interested in your jar. What quantities do you use?
  we have three chooks too - shavers, I think. They've been scratching furiously around the fruit trees all winter so hopefully there are no bugs left. Thanks for the hint.

  yes, that's the address - its at 4.30pm but doesn't matter if you are a bit late. bring anyhting you want to share from your garden, old gardening mags, jam etc. we will possibly watch a DVD too.we also bring a plate of nibbles to share
