  • Hi Katie, you can earn roobys by helping out with packing the Ooooby Boxes or by promoting the Ooooby Boxes to Aucklanders.  If you email Lisa at supply@ooooby.com she will be able to let you know if we have any packing shifts available.  If you're interested in promoting Ooooby then drop me an email pete@ooooby.com  :-)

  • Hi Katie.  Pete from Ooooby here.  We can purchase produce from you however we really need enough volume to contribute to at least 50 boxes to make it worthwhile.  So for example, if you are growing potatoes we would be looking for around 150 potatoes.  Hope that helps. :-)

  • Hi Katie. I have just moved from a very tiny place, with minimal space, and had a very successful and prolific vegetable garden. I use the Square Foot Gardening method. Here's a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5Lu-7FIj_g  It's an introduction to SFG by the original designer. The official web site is http://www.squarefootgardening.org/my-website#!sfg-home and to learn more, you click on the Gardening with SFG tab up top. For me, it's a sensible and productive use of space, whether in a small place or a large one. Not one inch is wasted, and it incorporates organics beautifully, including companion gardening. If you have a small space, you can put in the number of boxes you can fit (mine are not the conventional 4' x 4' - but two 7' x 4', joined together, as one is 8 inches high and the other is 16 inches high). Out of this size (for me) I can grow enough for 2 people - year round! I freeze and preserve good summer crops, and grow throughout the winter. Have a read of the SFG site and if there's anything you would like to know, just ask. I'm happy to share. I just LOVE SFG - it works wonderfully for me, and I'm very enthusiastic about it. I hope you will find it interesting :)

  • Welcome to Ooooby, Katie.
