    Thanks for that1 The really scary thing is that the severe bruising is still preventing me getting out in the garden. I can just about put full weight on it but not near to walking yet...25 June till now! So be so careful.

    Hi Isabell. Harvest Jerusalem Artichokes when the tops wilt, apparently best left in the ground and lifted as needed between winter and early spring.And apparently they multiply very happily if you leave any tubers in the ground!!
    Your garden looks absolutely amazing, just seen your photos! What is photo#4 ? Is it an elderberry? I have one to plant,small city garden,oops! Love to know how you decide to eat your j.artichokes.

    Great to hear your seeds went well! How do you like them? have had mixed comments from people. Mine were not that great as I have a dove problem and they love the foliage!

    Hi Isabell, thats nice of you to think of me re the herb book, I would like to take a look, I have general gardening books but no dedicated herb book. the equisitum is sending up lots of lovely new shoots, I ended putting it all in one big pot, so will have to keep an eye on it if it starts to get crowded, its lovely to look at, so unusual. I would love to come to the celtic roundhouse demo, pity it is so far away, my son is doing 'structures ' at school and we were thinking of something he could make with bamboo, maybe geodesic we were thinking but the roundhouse looks like it would be ok to do on a small scale, I;ll do a google on it :)
