Great looking veg there. , my purple sprouting brocolli hasn't formed heads at all yet, our soil must be improving though as in the early years brassicas have been disappointing at our place, my cabbages actually have hearts this time !

Brassicas are heavy feeders (perhaps why they deliver so much nutrient density), and require good rich soil. I have raised beds full of compost, and use EF Natures Garden fertiliser liberally. It has a good mix of calcium, the building block to allow all other nutrients to become available. Happy growing!
