While it's still fresh on everyone's minds - I'd love some feedback on the jaunt on Sun 25 Jan on Waiheke, to keep a record of what worked well, suggestions to improve etc for when the next one is planned. I wondered if 5 gardens was slightly too many (maybe 4 maximum?) and maybe it would be good to have a sheet of paper with addresses/map on it for drivers to follow. Leave a comment if you have any comments to make! Thanks

Yes, I look forward to the next jaunt. Really sorry to have missed out in seeing the others. Yes, good suggestion to have maps for the next time.... and I suggest also, if the jaunts could be scheduled earlier in the day, mid morning, ( especially during the Jan. sun!! ) or possibly later in the afternoon. Middle of the day makes it difficult for my time schedules in general. Great turn-out this Sunday. It was wonderful to share with you all, and receive such great complements and helpful suggestions.

Thank you everyone who made Sunday such an interesting day. Something to learn at every garden visited.
The wonderful diversity of plants in Gabriella's garden. Great to see what you can achieve with limited water.
Christy's berry patch--so that's how you set up the home garden variety.
The fig espalier around the water tank, what a brilliant idea.
The Squarefoot garden in action, ideas overload!
Sorry we missed the houseboat, but we caught the ferry in time and arrived home exhausted. Waiheke is a hot place in the summer sun.
Only regret is that I didn't bring a camera. Guess I will just have to come back again.

It was a good afternoon, and I learned lots, and met people. What I would suggest is the time - two hours max, as I was flagging! Thanks to those who let us see their gardens.

We only went to 2 gardens and felt that we hadn't had our fill yet. So 3 to 4 would work well. Maps and times would be great. We both loved it and would do it again for sure.
