Help needed with NZ food growing resource

There is a website, www.kai.org.nz started a couple of years ago with COGS funding which promises t be a valuable resource for growing food in New Zealand. The trouble is, it appears to be abandoned, and is filling up with spam, particularly its glossary section.

It is designed as an open wiki, protected only by captchas. Since Ooooby has such a rich people/knowledge resource, I'd love to see people getting behind this site by

1) Editing spam entries in the glossary and replacing them with useful content.

2) Sharing your knowledge by expanding the existing plant articles

3) Extend the resource by adding articles on food plants which are missing.

An open wiki can thrive as long as it has sufficient users to quickly stamp out any misuse of the site.

Let's make kai.org.nz the #1 go-to place for New Zealand gardeners.

Note: I am not affiliated with kai.org.nz (If I was I could get admin rights and fix the problems!)

and the rest... I've deleted a few entries and after the 4th attempt usually quit in frustration - you have to give the spammers credit for persistence!

You mean their captcha codes? They are about the nastiest I've seen - sometimes takes me three attempts!

Well I would help if I could work their code out.

Hey Richard

Just jumped on www.kai.org.nz and you're right it does look like a promising site.

I will try and get on there and help out with it.

Thanks for bringing the site to our attention.

Cheers Scott
