Happy Birthday Ooooby!

Who could have imagined that in just two years Ooooby would have grown into such a wonderful and rather large family of food growers and local food lovers?

Sure, I had visions of Ooooby being a way to connect people from around the world with common food values, but I did not foresee the steady and loving flow of beautiful soulful people gathering together to share with and support each other in their endeavours to create back yard Eden’s.

Here’s a quick snapshot of where we are at 2 years from birth.

  • 3,250 members
  • 160,000 visitors
  • 1,200,000 page views
  • 4,500 photos
  • 1,200 blogs

Also, together we have successfully piloted an exciting homegrown market stall concept where growers barter and sell local and homegrown food.

And 10 weeks ago we also launched the pilot of a local food home delivery service which is already serving over 90 households with a weekly box of scrumptious Ooooby food.

As the fortunate person to have had the pleasure to host this fabulous gathering, I just want to say that this was not my idea. The Ooooby idea is a collective concept that we have all had a part in realising.

So here's to being a part of such a wonderful group of people. Happy Birthday Ooooby. Hip Hooray!

Actually, there are more pegs on the wall now and more coming all the time.  We have quite a crew here at Ooooby these days.
