GLFM Sunday, February 14th 2010

When: Sunday 14th February
Where: Grey Lynn Community Centre
           510 Richmond Road

What can you bring to the Ooooby Stall from your back yard? What can you get your neighbor to bring from their back yard?

All home grown goodies can be dropped off at the stall between 8AM and 9AM or contact me for earlier arrangements. Please contact me to confirm what you can bring.

Can't wait to see you all there! Remember for those of you that have earned Rooobys, you can spend them on other's produce, Ooooby shirts, tools, seedlings and seeds.

Any perishable items leftover at the end of the market are donated to the Auckland Mission, unless picked up.

  • Thank you so much for another wonderful market!

We had homegrown produce from 14 different gardens this last weekend.

This is the link to the Rooobys Spreasheet:

Also I will be making a seed order probably within the next 3 weeks. Please let me know what kind of seeds you would be interested in having at the Ooooby Stall.
    • SEEDS
This is off the NZ Gardener weekly newsletter for the 12th.
Keep planting for autumn and winter. Use what's for sale at your local garden centre as a good guide to what you can plant now: cabbages, beetroot, bok choy, celery, carrots, cauliflowers, lettuces, rocket, radishes, swedes, turnips, parsnips, broccoli and Brussels sprouts can all go in now.

Radicchio 'Fancy' and 'Palla Rossa Early' are available from Kings Seeds, or look for radicchio in the Yates range at garden centres.

  • Hi Christie - my garden at Matakana is drought-stricken! But I have four punnets of bush basil. Can I drop them off to you tomorrow? Ph 027 279 8374
    • Hi Helen,

Sorry to hear about your garden; hopefully we will get some rain soon. I will be at my house at 5pm tomorrow. Call or text me 021 120 8083.
  • Microgreens, chenopodium, chard, sorrel, tomatillos, perilla and basil seedlings, worm wee.
    • That is great Fionna; see you on Sunday! Also if you could please bring the bucket for the plants to stay fresh with water like last time.
