Well, after Wayne brought the groups attention to the rats that he has found taking residence in our secret garden's compost bins, we took a couple of actions,
- moved the giant compost pile (from the original weeding!) to the orchard.
- Put a wire cage over the top of the worm farm (please ensure it is folded back on after adding worm food).
- put compost under the bottom of the green plastic compost bin.
The black plastic compost bin still needs plastic under it, I will do this soon.
Lets keep an eye on this, and use this discussion to work out thebest way to manage our relationship with our furry friends :)
