Free chickens

we are moving and cant take them with us.

7 chickens to re home, can proabably even sort you out with some chicken wire to create your own coop with.

You dont have to take all 7, but must take 2 at a time as they are used to company.

we are near Birdlings Flat. Best time to come is evening when they have gone to bed as they are easiest to catch then.

  • I just wanted to thank you again for the chooks, they're great :) I'll email you about those moving boxes!
    • glad they are doing well for you.  Sad to see them go, but they had to. I am having to resist the urge to go and check the nesting boxes today.
  • All gone! Feeling rather sad now we are chickenless for the first time in around 5 years.
  • 4 collected today, the final 3, assuming I can catch them will be off to a new home tomorrow.
  • I can vouch for these chooks, since both my chickens came from moggies flock :-). They've been excellent layers, hardy and trouble free and generally well behaved, as in the eggs are laid in the right place and no trouble with cooping up at night.
  • Hi, we would be happy to take 2 from you if that helps. We've got a coop and netting as we currently got a single chook.

    cheers Symon

  • you can have the first 3 that come to hand. I honestly cant tell them apart. there is only one I know to be of the older lot. Bring a cardboard box.
  • Awesome :) we'd like 3 please, young would be nice but a mix of ages ok too. could probably collect tmrw evening or Friday...
  • their pedigree is mainly new hampshire red, but they are not pedigree. They are good layers. The oldest would be 3 years maximum, the youngest is laying for the first time this year.
