  • Oh ok. I'm sorry but the baby scoby won't be ready yet as I've only made one brew so it's still forming. Maybe we can swap the scoby and milk kefir another time! So sorry! I'm very new at all of this :)
  • Oh great!! Ummm I am very new to kombucha so all I know is that I have a 'mother' scoby and it seems to be growing the baby one. I will have a look to see what colour it is! Hope that makes sense! How long does it take to grow the new baby scoby before you can remove it from the mother and use it to form a new batch?
    • The new scoby will take 2 to 3 weeks to get thick enough to seperate. If scoby has been brewing for too many batches they go quite brown from the tannins from the tea.

  • Hi Roanna, I have milk kefir, and can take a scoby. What colour are they as I would take one only if more white than browm. I run Probiotics courses and can use one for Sunday. Jane
