It is Autumn here at present so have just pulled out the last of the tomatoes and other Summer plants. My very large apricot tree was pruned last week and they dumped all the woodchips from that tree as well as what they already had in the truck on my front lawn. So now I am pouring wheelbarrows full on the vegie garden in order to increase the carbon content of my soil. Soooo satisfying!! Working with nature and feeding those very important micro-organisms!! At the same time I have planted quite a number of kale, brassicas etc. I also have 5 chickens which free range every day (not near the vegie plants! obviously!!) and a black dog called Holly. She is half Huntaway and the other half was a visitor in the night. Also currently harvesting feijoa's which are the biggest ever! In Summer we have loads raspberries and different currants/berries.
