Normal sized quarter acre section, back garden with raised beds built from stone blocks already installed when I moved here in 2012. There were five fruit trees. I removed two, the other three were in poor condition but with pruning and feeding now much better. Yields increase every year. Bit surprised, haven’t done much trees before, but obviously a little care goes a long way. Also planted new trees: 2 hazels, 4 apples/pears, plum, elder, feijoa, grape, grapefruit, lemon. Could do with some help/advice on the citrus as not doing well – climate, too much rain? Vegetables: carrot, garlic, lettuce, lots of herbs, lots of tomatoes, brown onion, Egyptian Walking Onions – please see the Egyptian Walking Onions photograph for more info, thanks. Have been involved on and off in trying (mainly unsuccessfully) to get people growing their own food here in Wainuiomata and Lower Hutt, with various groups, including Hutt council, since I moved here in 2012. I'm too old for manual labour, but can offer help, advice, seedlings, etc. Have various surpluses from time to time.

Hello Carrot Man, welcome to ooooby! I have two types of walking onions, one with very large reddish topsets and the other has slightly smaller green ones. Will add a photo of mine in the comments of your photo when I find them on my computer. Happy to send you some topsets if you'd like to add them to your collection.
