Food Forest in old Native Forest in Upper Waitati Cloud Forest growing perennial and self-seeding annuals, vegetables, berries, currants, fruit trees, in small and large clearings and experimenting with plantings within the forest since 2000. Intensive food forest garden experiments in urban setting at Pine Hill Rd since mid-2013. Vegetable favourites are heritage alliums, artichokes, brassicas, broad beans, beetroot, carrots, parsnips, (Maori) potatoes, runner beans, yams, Herbs of many kinds.
