This is my 1st year gardening in the southern hemisphere, so all new. but have been flower + veggie gardening and 'cannin' (preserving), drying for over 45 years. Have now: fruit trees: apple, peach, lemon & plum) , grapes, full veggie garden e.g. cabbage, onions, potatoes, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower, borage, comfrey, salad, herbs, tomatoes, corn, squash, kale, chard, spinach, strawberries, raspberries, pumpkin, carrots, beets, peas, beans, peppers, chilies, sunflowers swede & lots 'n lots of flowers, next year ...chickens. searching for anyone who wants to share a freezer to freeze a side-o-pork &/or beef & fish etc.
