They are an old variety - the vine was here when we bought the place in 1980. Black and large with big pips- grow vigourously and fruit prolifically. When they are dead ripe they are quite nice except that I don't really like that grapey flavour. Some people love them eg my daughter in law who would eat a supermarket bag full at one sitting. Unfortunately, she has moved to Westport. I really grow them because I like the vine.
Hi Don sorry Ive been away for a few days, I'm thinking it would probably be better if I send you a seedling when they are dormant in winter, its been so hot I can imagine things shrivelling in the post at the moment. or if by any chance you find yourself passing this way down state highway one we could dig you up something much larger? just message me with a reminder either way.
