Suburban property with seasonal fruit and vegetables, espaliering heritage apple varieties on dwarf rootstock, medicinal plants, bushfoods, aquatic plants in small pond system with fish, grains and grasses, fungi (currently trialing shiitakes on euculyptus logs). Raise seedlings and sub tropicals in attached greenhouse (which also helps the house keep warm in winter) and planning an earthbag raised garden bed at the front of the greenhouse Chickens and wwoofers (and friends) also help out in the garden. Planning a densely planted food forest and wind break on the NW and SW perimeter, and a greywater water garden on the SE (near laundry/bathroom). A worm bin and composting systems (a summer and a winter compost) on the south side utilising Robert Jenkins and Hundertwasser's methods.
