Tell us about your garden and what you're growing

I'm still not sure what I want to do but we are enjoying the experience. We have a place on Waiheke Island and it was overgrown with ever weed on the planet. It had alot of plum trees and a few other trees. We have since started cleaning it up and put in a few fruit trees and are working on the gardens near the house. I have become a bee keeper and am really enjoying it but feel I do more harm than good half the time but I'm sure they forgive me. The experience is amazing. I'm not really a bug person but I'm very attached to the bees now. We get alot of visitors, kereru, fantails, ducks so I am trying to plant to encourage the birds but also to feed the bees. The added bonus for us is that the neighbours seem to be in on the whole thing and are reaping the benefit of the bees. Last year they arranged for a community group to pick their extra fruit for community jams. I think that means its all working as it should and everyone wins.
