  • Hi John, enjoyed our chat last night and thanks for the message on my page which I have just cleared. We called by this afternoon, and took about 20 of the ripest persimmons (they will be best left to ripen a bit longer I think), my boys were quite proficient with the hoop, flicking them clear of the fish pond for me to collect; so no fish injured in the process. I left a bag of mixed lettuce from our garden hanging on your railing, I'm sure you will come across that. We didn't get to look at the feijoa tree, but if they are still falling, let us know and we will collect some. It was also very convenient, on our regular route home from school; so no extra petrol expended in the process and hopefully two happy parties. Thanks again.
  • Hi John, welcome to Ooooby. I live on Exhibition Drive, the property half way along the pipeline track. I would like to swap you something for some feijoas and persimmons, or just persimmons; I have some lettuce ready, I have chives if you would like for your herb garden, plum chutney and a range of potted cottage garden plants including Ajuga, Salvia Oxford Blue, Iresine (bright pink/burgundy foliage) also some Agave Americana (the century plant), and the orange flowering ginger (non invasive type). Does any of the above take your fancy? I come home through Konini Road each afternoon around 4pm, so could easily drop something off.
