Tell us about your garden and what you're growing

3 raised beds that my husband made and another area as well. I also have a hot house and am experimenting with that. When I am certain that the frosts are over I have tomato, cucumber, zucchini, basil, capsicum, lettuce, marigold seedling to plant out. I'll leave some in big pots in the hot house and compare how they grow. I've planted beetroot and radish seeds in the garden. I've nearly finished the broccoli, cabbage, cauli and silver beet that I planted ages ago. All experimenting, all new, all good!!

    Hi lynne, Different seeds bring different nutriance to the soil, so what you plant this year will be better to plant something else next year, and you could swhoop places next year eg: lupins in front yard, mustard in back this year, mustard in front yard, lupins in back next year then you would have both avalible for your compost heap for two years! so many options, gardens are never boring. theres more ideas than time and space to do them.

    Hi Lynne, as we are coming in to coolier weather, now is the time to plant seeds for green manure, Lupins Mustard and there are some others, this will inprove the soil for the summer and it will fill the gaps that will form as plants die back.
