Tell us about your garden and what you're growing

We moved into the property nearly a year ago and are new to growing and caring for our newly acquired array of organic food. We have a hectare which consists of an orchard and mainly native and deciduous trees. The orchard comprises of 12 fruiting avocado, peach, apple, pear, tamarillos, fig, lemon, tangelo, grapefruit, orange and plum trees, fiejoas and a grape vine. I would like to add apricot and more apple and pear trees. There is a paper tree and liquid amba which are very big trees but don't have the heart to take them out. We have a vege patch that we will be extending and working on that now. A lot of pruning still to be had as the property was very overgrown when we moved in. Loving the experience so far and being able to share the fruits of our labour with friends n whanau and wider community.
