  • hello Matty, yes the Kutash gardens garlic is really good, they sell it at the Queenstown Farmer's Market and have eaten lots of it. Am no longer such a good customer since I started growing my own and have got an assortment of hard & softneck garlic given to me by both ooooby friends and locals who have been growing their own garlic for many years so it's well adapted to our local climate. I've not finished harvesting this year's crop but what I've harvested has all survived two heavy snowfalls and numerous frosts. Some of the softneck varieties have smaller bulbs than last year's harvest but that may have been due to having been transplanted a couple of months after they were first planted.

Have let all the hardnecks develop bulbils so do let me know if you'd like me to post you some, no danger of transmitting any soil borne diseases and you certainly look as though you have the space to grow them. PM your address if you want any.

  • welcome to ooooby. Dare I ask how you got your garlic into the country??
