Tell us about your garden and what you're growing

I studied a Permaculture Design Course a couple of years ago back in the UK. This really sang out to me as the right direction in which to head. I had my own established gardening and planting business at the time. Last year my partner and I decided we wanted to move to NZ. We travelled, worked and volunteered through SE Asia and Oz for a year on the way here. We got to work on some cool projects, including planting a food forest for future generations in New South Wales. I’ve had to settle into a job that fits the skills shortage list in order get residency, so I’m working as a landscaper at the moment. Although the work isn’t exactly what I would ideally like to be doing, it’s a part of the journey. Once I have residency I intend to move into a more permaculture, sustainability type role. What that might be I’m not sure as yet. I know I have a passion and deep knowledge of the Earth, permaculture, plants, soils, gardening, of reading the patterns in the landscape and how to nurture growing things, perhaps even teaching people about all of this.
