  • It most certainly is a magical experience. We periodically take our grandchildren and they are thrilled by the experience each time
  • Up a little pathe on a dark dark night, little glow worms can be found, on the Parahaka via Dundas walkway opposite the boats - just be quiet and dont flash them to much - and their majick will sparkle inside you (as long as it stays SECRET)

Valuable Rose Hips

Rose hips have recently become popular as a healthy treat for pet chinchillas. Chinchillas are unable to manufacture their own Vitamin C and lack the proper internal organs to process many vitamin-C rich foods. Rose Hips provide a sugarless, safe way to increase the Vitamin C intake of chinchillas and guinea pigs.   Rose hips are also fed to horses.
