    Hi John, The time to plant your potatoes in NZ starts in about September, and by October you can begin growing summer seedlings and planting them out in November. Good luck with finding the right place! Jenny.

    Welcome John! Although I don't live in Wellington I feel like have some sort of relevance to you because I have a 29-year old brother living in Cork who studied architecture in Wellington, so he's done the reverse of what you're about to do, and he used to be a fantastic vegetable gardener when he was in NZ! His name is Kevin Lux, working at Murray O’Laoire. I'm sure he could give you some tips. Otherwise, feel free to visit us in Rotorua when you're down here. Jenny.
